caving and canyoning guide

Thrills route
Canyoning and caving are new sports in the Ardèche but anyone physically fit can enjoy them. However, as some spots and routes are restricted by age and the number of participants, please ask me for further details.

Amazing abseils : Since 1996, I have been organizing abseiling down the Oilier d'Autridge, an thrilling 180 m high peak in the Ardèche river gorges.
One of the longest "Spiderman" drops (i.e. without touching the rock face) in Europe.
You slide down your own rope on your own but are attached to me, your guide, by a second cord.
Comfortably seated in a sling chair, you can make the most of the extraordinary views over the gorges.
• Half day excursion.
• Take hiking pants or Bermuda shorts, sunglasses, a T-shirt, good shoes and a swimming costume.

• 8.00 pm, near Aubenas
• You must know how to swim.
• Neoprene wetsuit and neoprene footwear and helmet with acetylene caving light supplied. Bring your own canvas ankle boots (or rent them from us),a swimming costume and a towel for drying off at the end!

Rochecolombe : Rochecolombe is a superb medieval village near Aubenas. It has a dry canyon dug into the limestone in the heart of scrubland filled with the scents of wild herbs. Explore the magic of this site carved out by the water on fixed rope slides. The last slide takes you 70 m down the (dry) waterfall!
